I have to say that I am loving anything SMOOTHIE right now. They are quick to make, super healthy, and perfect for warm summer days where you need something a bit lighter in your stomach. Even better is that you can whip one up then enjoy it in the car on the way to work, dropping off kids, etc. My husband bought me the "Magic Bullet" (can be purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond), which makes smoothie making a breeze. Yes, it's pretty sad that the Magic Bullet brings me such joy, but I've learned that anything that makes your life easier, yummier, and healthier in one shot is good stuff.
Here's my favorite recipe for a breakfast smoothie:
1 cup Stonyfield Farm Lowfat Plain (or French Vanilla) yogurt
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 banana
1/4 cup pineapple
2 tbsp flax seed meal
Crushed ice (if desired)
