A wise person once said, “Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think that there are no little things.” As women and as mothers, we know that little things can make a big difference. A little baby, for example, is so small and sweet yet makes an immeasurable difference in your life – your priorities change, your routines change, and even you change.
Last week, Fit2Bmom did a little thing by asking Twitter members to ReTweet a hopeful message in order to help the relief efforts in Haiti. Each person who Retweeted contributed to the donation that we made to the American Red Cross on their behalves, and all it took was one little click by a lot of different people to make a big difference for Haiti. Amazing, isn’t it?
A little effort to exercise and eat healthy each day can also make a big difference in so many big ways. Your body will become stronger and healthier, making it easier to endure being a hard-working Mom-on-the-go! You will feel more energized, and you’ll look the best you ever have thanks to glowing skin and a toned physique.
Making a little effort to be healthy is easier than you think: always park further away from the store so that you have to walk a bit longer to get there; put on your favorite upbeat music and dance around your house for 10 minutes; hide ankle weights under your pants and walk with them as you tackle your errands! There are so many creative ways to get into shape, there’s just no excuse not to try!
Eating healthy is also a piece of cake. Oops – did we say cake? Well you can have it! Angel food cake with fruit and fat free whipped cream is a fresh, delicious, healthy option for dessert. Craving a snack? Trade your greasy potato chips for baked potato chips, or have apple slices dipped in peanut butter. For lunch, try eating a salad if you plan on having a heavy dinner, or eat a salad before supper to satisfy most of your appetite. A little bit of good food can lead to a big change in the way you eat as you’ll stop craving junk and start craving health.
What little things are you doing to make a big difference?
