This Thursday, many of us will gather with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving. We’ll watch parades and football, overindulge on turkey and the trimmings, and enjoy the contented chaos of being surrounded by loved ones. While it’s easy to believe that these icons represent Thanksgiving, the real meaning of the holiday exists in the very name of it.
Thanksgiving simply means to give thanks.
Unintentionally, we take for granted those things for which we should give thanks every day: our freedom, our health, our family…even our everyday abilities.
As women, we have a lot to be thankful for (and not just our sixth sense!). The miracle of pregnancy in itself, and the resources to keep ourselves in good health throughout pregnancy, certainly is worth feeling thankful.
At Fit2Bmom, we’re thankful for challenges because they breed growth that results in accomplishment. We’re thankful for each day – good or bad – because each day provides us with an opportunity to develop our company. Currently, we’re working on revamping major areas of our website to give all of you a greater online experience, and we’re also implementing an exciting community program called The Circle that’s set to launch in 2010.
Most importantly, we’re thankful for all of the people who have helped Fit2Bmom achieve success throughout the last four years, namely our sales representatives, our retailers, and especially all of you – our Fit Moms. You are the reason that we continue to provide not only comfortable apparel that supports an active lifestyle before, during, and after pregnancy, but also an inspirational place where women can meet, share, and motivate eachother. Just a small dose of inspiration can spawn a lifetime habit of exercise and fitness. Health is the most important and beneficial gift that you can give to yourself and to your family.
Thanksgiving isn’t about one day in particular; it’s about giving thanks year round and letting others know how much we appreciate them as often as we can.
What and who are you thankful for?
